We needed the 3 points - 20/01/2002
This was a very tough game, we knew Leicester would work very hard and that’s exactly what happened. We didn’t play well in the first half, but this changes in the second when we had a lot of possession and should have scored. Having said that we only created two good chances, Kieron Dyer’s shot was very well save by Flowers and Alan Shearer’s header just missed the goal. I also got a yellow card, but it looked worse than it was. Sometimes if you catch someone late it looks nasty, but any one who knows me will say that I’m not a dirty player, it was just one of those things.
We’ve now got to get this game out of our heads and focus on the cup game – who ever we will play!
