Yesterday we officially launched the web sites and charity auction, and I’m glad to say it went very well. The Shearer shirt (pictured) has already attracted a bid of £875 (to see the latest price http://www.bid4sport.com and click on ‘auction house’), this was the shirt worn at Anfield where Al brought us back into the game - scoring at the Anfield Road end in the 2-2 draw, it's even complete with grass stains!! As you can also see from the picture, we’ve got a few more shirts to auction, these include an England shirt used and worn by Bryan Robson – it even comes with a letter of authenticity from the man himself. You can see that there’s also a squad signed Hull City shirt, and even the Makems aren’t left out!

In the days and weeks to follow, Bid 4 Sport will also be releasing Newcastle kit such as Shay Given’s signed gloves, my boots, and a ‘Masters’ shirt signed by both the Newcastle and Liverpool teams. The fund will also be boosted by shirts from Watford, Sheffield Wednesday, and Chelsea. We’ve also signed the T shirts that were worn at the Press Conference, these too will be available on the Bid 4 Sport site.

All the money raised from the auctions will be handed over to the William Hardy Trust fund, and by coincidence, yesterday also saw William travel down to Southampton where he saw another specialist. The purpose of the visit was to see what type of prosthetic limbs can be used. He may have to keep replacing the limbs as he grows, or alternatively there may be a chance that the prosthetics can be adapted to grow with him.

I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank NUFC for laying on the press conference, it was a good day and I’m sure we’ve been able to raise the profile of William’s cause.
