It’s that time of year when everyone gets the chance to be a fantasy manager, so if you’re a Sir Bobby Robson (or a Peter Reid), here’s your chance to prove it…
For me the only defence that can be relied upon is Arsenal’s, year after year they keep it tight and I don’t see any reason why this is going to change. OK Adams has gone, but he’s been replaced by an experienced, quality centre-back. My defence is, unsurprisingly made up of Seaman in goal, Ashley Cole, and Cygan. The Arsenal lads are supported by Christian Ziege, who often plays in midfield, Woodgate and Melville, with Bernard also in the squad. In midfield I’m sticking with Robert, so I hope he recovers in time for the start of the full Playerboss season. Jamie Redknapp should thrive under Glen Hoddle and Ali Bernabia will surprise a few people. The World Cup showed us what Damian Duff can do, and I’ve got Hitzlsperger in support. Hasselbaink and Henry head my forward line, so I’m more than confident I’ll be in the goals! Oh, and my surprise selection…
