Luke get an attacking role

Bristol City midfielder Luke Wilkshire has been named captain of the Australian Under 23 team in its match against Tunisia later tonight (11.00pm AEST) and in a surprise move will play as the second attacking option.

Wilkshire, normally a central midfielder, will play in the hole behind lone striker Dylan Macallister, whom has overcome knee soreness to start the match. The loss of striker Scott McDonald late last week has forced the reshuffle by coach Frank Farina.

The starting eleven for the match is: Brad Jones (gk), Jade North, Patrick Kisnorbo, Adrian Madaschi, Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, Ahmad Elrich, Carl Valeri, Gareth Edds, Alex Brosque, Luke Wilkshire (c), Dylan Macallister

Despite the loss of key players, Farina expects his players to put up a good show against the highly rated Tunisians especially with Olympic Games spots up for grabs and possible inclusion in the Socceroo squad for the matches against Turkey in late May.
