Confident of play-off success

Having played Brighton, Swindon and Hartlepool this season and remained unbeaten, the boys are confident that we have the ability to win the second division play-offs. We know that the psychological advantage is with us, and after beating Hartlepool 2-1 at Victoria Park in January they'll know what we're capable of. We've finished the season relatively strongly and it's good to go into the play-off's with a bit of form. Sometimes the side that just misses second place - automatic promotion - can feel a little flat. But that's not the case here and I honestly feel we've got as good a chance as any of the other teams.

It's been a frustrating time for me, with not even making the bench in the last couple of games I've been watching from the stands. No player is happy to sit on the sidelines and didn't join the club not to play.

My plans for the summer are a little up in the air at present. In mid-June we're expecting the birth of our second child and after that there may be a few international friendlies to play. I'm hoping to turn out for the full international side as well as the Olyroos, so it may be that I'll have a shortened pre-season. There are obviously pro's and con's with this, but I'm young and think that overall it'll be to my advantage to play in these games. I'll return fitter than most and have the added benefit of further international experience.
