Aston Villa midfielder Nolberto Solano believes manager David O'Leary is effecting a quiet revolution at the club. The Peruvian joined from Newcastle during the transfer window, a move which coincided with a good run of form for the Midlanders, and he claimed things will improve even more.
"My time at Villa has started well, but I know we can do even better," he said. "There are some very exciting players here and we have a lot of potential. But the manager has his own ideas on where he wants to take us and we are nowhere near that yet.
"That is part of the reason why I came here. The manager knows what he wants to do and he is very ambitious. I too am ambitious."
Solano also revealed he is looking forward to playing in a new attacking style.
"We have the players to score goals here and it is up to me and the others to help Juan Pablo Angel and the rest of the strikers," he told the club's official website. "The manager wants us to be very attacking and we have to make sure the quality is there."
