New challenge - 29/01/2004

A transfer to Aston Villa signals a new start and a new challenge. I would like to thank the manager for bringing me to the club and giving me the opportunity to get back into action. I would also like to thank the Newcastle fans for their support all this time. They have been fantastic, not only when things went well, but also when we were facing difficulties. Their support was always appreciated! Unfortunately the lack of first-team football at Newcastle left me with no other choice, but to continue my career with a different club.
