Things are looking good at Bolton, the Liverpool performance again confirming that the club has developed into a respected Premiership side. Tord Grip was recently taking a look at Kevin Nolan and that just goes to show that the club now have quality in the squad to warrant international selection. Kevin burst onto the scene a couple of years ago but last season his form was patchy. He’s now showing us what a good player he is and although he’s an outsider for Sven’s Euro championship squad, is great for him to know that he’s been considered. Nicky Hunt is another young player who’s come in and is doing very well. He’s not the sort to get carried away and you can see his confidence growing with each game he plays! If he can keep improving as he has done, he too can develop into a major Premiership player.

I’m happy that we’ve got Middlesbrough in the Carling Cup Final, they’ve a strong defence, but overall I feel we’re the stronger side and we’ve got a great opportunity to lift the cup. If we can get the win, it’ll be fantastic for the club to be competing in Europe – as well as the glory it’ll help raise the profile of the club and attract players.

Next up is Leicester, a team we should beat! They can’t be playing with much confidence and although Mickey Adams praised his side for showing spirit during their defeat to Newcastle – but spirit doesn’t put the ball I the back of the net! You need quality and we simply have more of this commodity than the Midlands side.  We’ve been in their position and developed our quality over the last two seasons, it’s a game for the taking.
