The last time I did a piece for the website I was moaning about my back..I’m still moaning! To be honest I’d given it a bit of rest and thought I’d turned a corner, but a couple of days ago I had a heavy session on the bike and I’m back to square one. I’m due to get the results of a scan back tomorrow, so I’m hoping that they can find out what’s causing the bother and then sort it out. It’s getting me a down a bit – but thanks for the support, had a few emails and one was even giving me some advice on how to treat it.

I watched the Champions League game last night, before the game started I looked at the Real Madrid line up, let’s face it, they have to be the biggest team in the world to have those names in the starting eleven – Ronaldo, Zidane, Raul, Figo and Carlos (or the famous five as the commentator called them). I think the difference between the two teams was that the big player’s for Man Utd simply didn’t do the business. If you’d had Beckham, Keane, and Butt bossing the game a bit more, they wouldn’t have conceded three goals.

Van Nilstelrooy did well, and we’ll have to watch out for him on Saturday, but after that result, it’ll be interesting to see how the team reacts. Sometimes a heavy defeat leaves you wanting to prove something in your next game, but because the second half was basically quite even – 1-1, they might just be feeling a bit sorry for themselves. Like I say, if Madrid had gone on and put another couple past them, I think they’d be coming up here and they’d be really up for it. I know the lads are bit wound up after the Everton game and I know for a fact it’s going to be a really tough 90 minutes. There’s no point in saying anything about the Gravesen tackle and the referee’s reaction – coz there wasn’t one! But I honestly think we’ll beat Man U on Saturday, and that’ll make a few people wonder if the title might just be back on?
