Kay facing two-game ban - 05/05/2004

Barnsley must plan for the first two matches of next season without player of the year Antony Kay.

The Barnsley-born youngster, recently voted the club's player of the year, received his second red card of the season in Sunday's home defeat to Bristol City.

The Tykes expect the 21-year-old midfielder to be handed an automatic two-match ban, but are awaiting official confirmation from the Football League.

Kay was also sent off in Barnsley's 2-0 win at Chesterfield earlier in the season.
