We need a good run! - 30/01/2004

Life at Barnsley has been a little frustrating with drawing far too many matches. In playing Bournemouth we were by far the better team but failed to take advantage of our dominance. Brighton was a similar type of game. However with them scoring and with us failing to hit the back of the net we lost further ground on teams such as Bristol city and Plymouth.

As we sit here in late January, I feel the team has certainly the ability to get automatic promotion. Putting a run together will place us in a very strong position. Otherwise, a play-off position looks likely,  but with Bristol city Plymouth and QPR amongst others also doing well we realise that the second half of the season needs to be more productive, in terms of points, than the first half.
