I haven't turned anyone down - 01/09/2003

As I've mentioned in the past, I'd be very interested in moving to a club offering first team football. Forest have been mentioned in the past, and there's also another first division club apparently interested. As far as I'm concerned, I'd listern to what Newcastle have to say. If they can arrange a deal with Forest or the other club, then I'd be happy to move on a loan deal.

I don't want clubs to get the wrong idea, and the article featured below is simply not true...

"Newcastle United left-back Robbie Elliott today turned down the chance to go to Nottingham Forest on loan. And Southampton have failed in a bid take striker Carl Cort to St Mary's Stadium. Forest manager Paul Hart had hoped to lure Elliott to the City Ground after the transfer window deadline was extended until tea-time tonight. But the the 29-year-old left-back said no to the Nationwide First Division outfit, just as he turned down another Midlands outfit, Derby County, last season."

"And after seeing United use Gary Speed as an emergency left-back against Birmingham on Saturday, Elliott has every justification in deciding to stay at St James' Park and fight for his place..."
